I have been asked quite a few times about how we choose the patients we help and where we get their information so I thought I would post a little bit about our process. We do not directly receive applications from cancer patients. We are currently working with one hospital in our local area. The patients are referred to us by the social worker within the Oncology department. We rely on the relationship we have with the social workers to get us the validated information we need to be able to help. Our board then approves the application along with the dollar amount of aid and then checks are sent directly to the collecting party like to the bank for an auto loan payment.. It is a pretty streamlined process as the patients are in need now. I would say the average time from application received to check in the mail is about 5 days. I try to contact the patient within 48 hours or less of the application received.

The KM3 Project has been approved as a 501 (c) (3) charity. Obtaining this status from the IRS was no easy task and I am feeling pretty pumped right now. This allows us to really start putting some things in motion. This Project is so meaningful to me, it really is the product of the legacy I would like to leave my children. We are open for business and ready to change some lives! SOOOO Exciting!!
Welcome to The KM3 Project. Thank you for checking us out!
